EFY 09

So today Ammon, Ben and I along with the other young men, young women, Bishop and youth leaders went to Vernal to listen to 2 fabulous speakers at the Especially for Youth conference held there. We learned so much, here are the high lights.....
Are you a Noah friend or Abinidi...let me explain....the people under king Noahs rule loved him cos he made them feel good about their way of life,and their sins. It was ok so on they went sinning and liking it. Then there is Abinidi who told them to repent and get on the right track or God was going to punish them....they didn't like that much cos he wasn't telling them what they wanted to hear. So what kind of friend are you? One that says and does what everyone does and what they want to hear or are you Abinidi and tell it like it is , in a nice way of course! But still being the friend to help lead others back to the right path and away from sin.
The MAP.... are we forgetting to use our map everyday to guide and direct us or are we just glancing at it and then off we go to maybe get lost along the way? Our map is of course the scriptures that guide and lead us back to our Father in Heaven... As thanksgiving is fast approaching we are all getting ready for that wonderful feast that we enjoy with loved ones. Are we feasting on the words of God and preparing ourselves to be with our Lord again some day? I love this quote "It's not knowing where to find them, It's about being found in them" . Don't let one day go by without being found in the scriptures, your answers will be there for you, you can recieve comfort and peace. I love the scriptures, they have been there for me and healed me, they have given me peace and comfort and joy. I know you can have this in your life too!
I have tried each day to vocally be thankful for something....today I am thankful for each of you who may read this....I love you all....Happy Thanksgiving!
